Harley-Davidson’s Pan America 1250, for example, with its lusty 150bhp V-twin, great road manners and spec, in ‘Special’ form including semi-active suspension, is one of the most underrated and is also, here, a massive bargain. Dealer Sycamore Motorcycles is currently offering this brand new pre-registered example with a whopping £5780 off its usual list price, that takes it down from the normal £18,770 to now be available for just £12,990

Get £3000 off this BMW R1300RT
How about this for proof that there are also other types of brilliant, best-selling big bikes that can sometimes also be found with equally big dealer discounts? BMW’s new-for-2025 R1300RT continues the German firm’s tradition of delivering the best touring bikes available and the 1300RT is the latest brilliant boxer version, lavished with comfort, high tech features and classy touches. This example, however, currently being offered by dealer Bowker, is as good as they come being in LE specification and also with BMW’s brilliant new ‘ASA;’ automatic transmission. If adventure or touring bikes don’t ‘whet your whistle’, however big the discounted price, how about this for the very latest in high tech, aerodynamically aided superbikes – but also one that also comes with a big dealer discount? Aprilia’s top-spec ‘Factory’ version of its RSV4 superbike has long been one of the most potent and sophisticated machines of its type and has just been updated with fresh styling, extra ‘aero’ and kore. While, finally for this week, if an adventure bike, tourer or top-end superbike isn’t for you, how about a great dealer deal on a brand-new example of undoubtedly one of the best ‘performance retro’ currently on the market? Yamaha’s XSR version of its brilliant MT-09 triple adds heritage style to what is already one for the best roadsters available. While this brand-new example, currently on offer at dealer Alford Bros is also something of a bargain, having had its price cut by £1650 so taking its asking price down from the usual £11,000 to now be available for just £9350

Get this Suzuki GSX-S1000GT+ with £2199 off
If you want a great bargain on a current new model, they don’t get much better – or as much of a ‘no brainer’ – as this. Suzuki’s GSX-S1000GT+ is a brilliant 150bhp sports tourer as a decent price, but why buy new (for currently £12,999) when you can this virtually as-new example for nearly £4000 less? Save £2094 on this Triumph Thruxton 1200
If a cheap, low mileage version of a current model doesn’t appeal buying used is sometimes a great way to get a mint example of a now discontinued model but also at a bargain discounted price – as is the case here. Triumph’s café racer version of its Bonneville, the Thruxton 1200, was one of the best retros of all but is now sadly discontinued. However, used bike specialists Superbike Factory is currently offering this low mileage (1649miles), 21-plate example that is in mint condition with a further £2094 off its asking price so taking it down from the previous £9886 to a now bargain £7791 – and it even comes with a free 12-month extended warranty

Save £1999 on this Triumph Tiger 1200 GT
While, finally for this week, how about this for a great example of a bike that’s a brilliant all-rounder, is in great condition and, best of all, is also now thanks to a discount even better value than ever? Triumph’s Tiger 1200 was already one of the best adventure bikes available with 148bhp, shaft drive, excellent electronics and more. Used bikes specialists Superbike Factory, meanwhile, is currently offering this 72-plate example of the GT version at a great price. But it doesn’t have to be expensive, exotic and arguably impractical homologation special superbikes or exotic, premium sports-tourers that are on the receiving end of big dealer discounts, more versatile, day-to-day bikes can be bargains, too – as is the case here.
